Strict Conditions
“Due to the cold environment at Thule, Westmor had to supply all components rated for -40° F,” said June Blackmon, a contract manager for Shealy Electrical Wholesalers, Inc.

“Delivery of the tanks was also crucial,” she said. “There is only one ship a year that leaves the United States for Greenland. I am very happy to say that Westmor far exceeded all of the requirements that we put forth to them in order to supply this material.”

Detailed Documentation
Besides weather specific components and a firm delivery deadline, we were also asked to provide the government with complete shop drawings and submittal packages for review.

“They were very detailed and complete in their drawings and submittals to us that we were able to get an ‘A’ approval each time,” Blackmon said.

“Any questions that I or my customer have concerning equipment have always been answered quickly and in a manner that is easy to understand,” she said. “They have always been able to make any last minute changes that were needed and still meet our delivery requirements.”
