The Look
Eventually, there were a number of factors that led to a decision, but in the beginning it all came down to the look of the unit when Wiese Oil and Supply entered the market for a new truck tank.
“I just liked the Westmor style better. It’s a sleeker look,” said driver Brian Wiese. “With our name on the sides of the truck, we’re advertising our business when we’re going down the road, so the look of the unit is important.”
The Construction
With as many as 20 deliveries in one day during their busiest time of the year, it was important the company find a unit with durability.
“When something isn’t working, we’re down and our business stops!” said Wiese. “The truck is everything in this business, it has to work. So far, our [Westmor] truck tank has performed well.”
The Options
Again, in the fall, it’s not uncommon for the Wiese Oil and Supply truck tank to be seen making deliveries after dark sets.
“There is a work light on the side, but I especially like the lights inside the bucket box,” said Wiese. The extra lighting keeps two hands free and makes for easy reading of the meters and other tools inside the rear delivery compartment.
“There are ladders on both sides of the tank, which are handy,” he said. And when Wiese accesses the top of his tank he noted the extra grip, or expanded aluminum, makes for safe conditions where they are needed most.
When combined, the options that were added to Wiese’s unit make his job easier, safer and allows for more deliveries when his services are at highest demand.
